Mal: Never goes smooth. How come it never goes smooth?
Once again, Mal’s luck (or lack thereof) has struck. We had plans… grand plans… plans for a mighty big shindig! But like one of Mal’s notorious plans, things just haven’t gone smooth. Regrettably, we’re here to announce that the Browncoat Charity Gala, set to be held on October 8, has been postponed until 2017. There are all manner of reasons for why, but the main one is that ticket sales were just too low for us to hold the event at this time. October is a busy month, and it would appear that the competition of upcoming events like AMCExpo and PAX (as well as Nathan Fillion’s November visit to Australia) was just too strong this year. All ticket holders will be contacted within the next few days, and full refunds will be provided.
Planning is underway to bring the shindig back in 2017, so keep an eye out for news as it is announced. And if you’d like to be part of the team, let us know!
