Ok another update.

Looking forward to a Game of Thrones (I am pimping this everywhere atm)

Watching Chuck and Community as it comes down off the pipe. Sanctuary and something else start up again in the next week too

Just finished watching Off the Map

Up to Season 3 of Californication, Season 2 Breaking Bad, halfway through season one of Dr Who (latest version) and Ultraviolet.

Watched pilots for The Wire, Farscape, Justified and Misfits and need to get onto them.

Plus the ones that JenskiJen keeps threatening to lend to me mean I am going to be busy on the TV front. The question is does this leave time for playing MMO's (I like to dream big with my social activities)

Bump Misfits to the top of that list, it's brilliant...

For those who love Brit-TV, I highly recommend Misfits as well as:
- Blackpool (starring David Morrissey, David Tennant, Sarah Parish)
- Black Books (starring Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey)
- Spaced (starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Jessica Hines/Stevenson)
- Being Human (vampire, werewolf and ghost housemates)
- Casanova (starring David Tennant)
- Taking Over the Assylum (starrng a very young David Tennant)

I've also enjoyed:
- Leverage
- Community
- Psych
- Due South
- Wonderfalls
- Dark Angel (I'm a sucker for anything with Jensen Ackles in it)
- Kingdom Hospital

And for some reason, I'm in a really retro mood at the moment, so have been watching The Goodies while trying to hunt down The Wombles (anyone know where I can get that?)

I think it's safe to say, if David Tennant is in it, Jen has seen it and recommends it.
Lionsgate is my new favourite studio. We'll finally see Cabin in the Woods.

I can honestly say that I did not enjoy David Tennant in "Rex is not your lawyer". His american accent was terrible and very off putting!

BSG...for the first time. Up to season 3. Very well written IMO.

I record a lot of TV, Castle, Bones, most docos from SBS, Doctor Who, Glee, NCIS, NCIS LA...I'm sure there ismore, I just can't think of them off the top of my head.

Now that I am caught up on Pretty Little Liars, I have been re-watching Dollhouse, waiting until I can catch up on Chuck and The Big Bang Theory. Battlestar has been added to my "to be watched" list, but that is a long list...

OUAT: anyone else watching?

Postby Leanne » Wed May 23, 2012 1:31 pm

Is anybody else watching Once Upon A Time? Whedonite Jane Espenson is a consulting producer or some such, and doing I believe ( from her tweets on the subject) some of the writing.
I'm a great fan of myth and legend and in particular the way myth is woven into modern society, so this is right up my alley. I particularly like the idea of having all manner of characters involved: Grimm's Fairy Tales characters living in the same town as Jiminy Cricket, for instance.
Stargate trivia: not only is Bob Carlyle totally mesmerising as the creepily evil Rumpelstiltskin (he was of course in SG:U), but I also spotted James "BamBam" Bamford as the Black Knight. i just wish he'd said "tis but a scratch"....
