Melbourne’s 2006 “Can’t Stop the Serenity” charity event raised $1,603.00 (US$1,220) for Equality Now!
Melbourne’s been part of the global “Can’t Stop the Serenity” since it’s very beginnings. In 2006, Ian “Mad Dog” Morgan found a crew and put on a fantastic fundraising event featuring “Serenity”. Mega thanks to everyone who helped out and who came along to share in the fun!!
Date: Friday 23 June 2007
Location: Hoyts Cinemas, Forest Hill
Time: 9pm
We got to see “Serenity” on the big screen and celebrate Joss Whedon’s birthday in the company of fellow fans. As an incentive to purchase tickets, the first 150 ticket holders received a free Serenity mousemat courtesy of UIP Australia. There were also raffles, costume competitions and lots of prizes!
