Melbourne’s 2008 “Can’t Stop the Serenity” charity event raised US$705 for Equality Now!
Congratulations to Ian “Mad Dog” Morgan, his amazing crew and all Melbourne Browncoats for pulling off another fantastic “Can’t Stop the Serenity” event in Melbourne! Thank you to everyone who attended!!
Date: Sunday 6 July 2008
Location: Kino Denby Cinema, Collins Street, Melbourne
Time: 3:30pm
In addition to seeing “Serenity” on the big screen, there were prizes for costumes, some great raffles and awesome auction items! Merchandise included CSTS T-shirts, posters, Serenity mousemats, Fruity Oaty Bars and QMX Limited Edition Money Packs.
In addition to raising funds for Equality Now, this year all the Australian and New Zealand CSTS screenings held a “Browncoat Appeal” – an appeal for practical items to support our local community. Fans were encouraged to donate non-perishable foods, warm winter clothing and blankets to be given to relief agencies in Melbourne.
